Online Consultation Information Sheet

Audio/video is the preferred method of conducting the consultation. However, if you prefer a telephone-only consultation, that is perfectly acceptable.

For audio/video, use this link: Start the video call .

Purpose and Design of the Audio/Video Consultation

The purpose of the consultation is to allow you to schedule a convenient time and day to speak with a real estate lawyer for a specific amount of time that works with your schedule and at an affordable flat-fee rate.

Scope of the Audio/Video Consultation

The scope of an online consultation is not continuing and does not include retaining the lawyer or law firm to represent you in lawsuits requiring representation in continuing civil litigation, the review or drafting of documents, or any other legal work outside the consultation time.

In instances where continuing work is agreed to after the conclusion of the consultation, that work will be covered by a separate agreement and separate invoicing. Financial terms will be quoted, and payment for additional work must be received before the work is performed or started. None of this additional work is part of the paid consultation.

General Consultations vs. Document Review Consultations

If a general consultation that does not include document review is booked, but the consultation requires documents to be reviewed, the attorney and law firm reserve the right to cancel the booking or request additional fees for a document review consultation.

In many instances, documents must be reviewed before general answers can be given. In these situations, a consultation that includes document review should be booked.

Cancellations and Refunds

In all instances where a booking is made and then canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled consultation, $95.00 will be withheld from any refund as an administrative fee. This fee helps offset the costs associated with calendaring, processing electronic payments, and managing bookings.

Please allow three to five business days for an approved refund to be credited to your account due to payment-processing times.

Rescheduling the Consultation

We understand that unexpected things happen. Please email our office, and we will reschedule your appointment one time at no additional charge.

Pre-Consultation Inquiries

Sometimes clients are reluctant to book an online consultation without first speaking with someone from the office or having preliminary questions answered.

In those instances, please use the Contact Us button on our website to explain your concerns or needs. The attorney will respond directly and arrange what is necessary to provide the information you need to determine whether an online consultation is the appropriate way to address your particular legal concerns.

Where Do I Send Documents for the Consultation?

Please send documents to be reviewed or included in the consultation to markroy432@gmail.com.

Who Will the Consultation Be With?

Your consultation will be with Attorney Mark Roy.

What Happens if the Consultation Is Shorter or Longer Than the Time Purchased?

Refunds are not granted for unused consultation time. However, no additional fees are charged if the appointment extends beyond the amount of time initially booked.

It is not always clear when a consultation is booked how much time will be required to address the legal questions presented. Our law firm will always make a good-faith effort to satisfy your need for answers within the amount of consultation time booked.

What Will Happen on the Day of My Consultation?

Mark Roy will be available through the Google Meet link for your video consultation.
